Glory days! Sega has announced that it will bring Yakuza 6: The Song of Life to the PS4 outside Japan on March 20, 2018. Sega also unveiled a new trailer for the game, which shows series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu bare-knuckle brawling with street thugs, fishing with a spear gun underwater, taking selfies with orange mascots, and holding a laughing baby.
Check out the killer trailer below:
Yakuza is a weird series and the 6th game in the series looks like it’s going really push the envelope. Yakuza 6 will also stand apart as the first fully-voiced Yakuza game — “every line and piece of dialogue is fully voiced in Japanese,” Sega said in a release.
Sega also revealed the contents of two of the game’s special editions. The “Launch Edition” will cost $59.99 and includes a hardcover art book. Meanwhile, the “After Hours Premium Edition” will retail for $89.99 and comes complete with an art book, two bar glasses, two coasters and two ice stones.
Yakuza 6 was originally released back in December 2016 in Japan. This will be the final game starring Kiryu according to Sega. The next Yakuza game, Yakuza Kiwami — a remake of the original Yakuza — is out at the end of the month on the PlayStation 4 on Aug. 29.
I can’t wait.
