Syberia Is Back From The Dead

It’s been a long time since I last played a Syberia game. I wonder how Kate Walker, the series lead protagonist, has been up to on her astonishing adventure across Europe and Russia.

The original Syberia was released in January 2002 and was followed by a sequel in 2004. Now 13 years later Syberia 3 is set for release next week with this fantastic new trailer.

Syberia 3 takes place in the heart of Easter Europe, through desolated lands, frozen lakes, unexpected encounters, shamans, snow Ostruches and much more. I’m getting a Fallout 4 vibe from the trailer.

The Syberia series has always been a third-person, mouse-driven, semi-realistic/semi-surrealistic adventure game in which the player must solve puzzles and follow certain procedures in order to progress in the story. I’m interested to see how the game translates to consoles so many years later.

Syberia 3 is out today on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in the UK and will be coming to North America on April 25th.
