Santa can you hear me? I know you don’t have time, but here’s some advice for your elves.
Planning on buying a new console for a loved one this holiday season? First off, I just wanted to tell you what a nice person you are, and here’s a virtual high-five! Hold on to that, and hold on to this thought. Starting a new console from scratch takes time. It’s not like the good old days when you could just plug your Super Nintendo into the TV and play. The console needs some loving and really, don’t we all this holiday season.
Here’s what you’re going do when you get home from the store with your new machine. I’m going recommend you open up the console and fire it up. Install any new updates as well as download some games on it so it’s ready to go when it’s unwrapped Christmas morning. Loading times are significantly longer on Christmas morning because of the sudden influx of people trying to download things on the network. You can stay ahead of the curve by getting the console set up a week early. It’s a real kick in the nuts when you want to play it on Christmas morning and have to wait till dinner time for everything to download and install. So pour yourself a drink (you earned it my friend), and go to town. Load up some quality games (stay tuned for my best of list) and put on Netflix in the background. The lucky person getting the console will thank you come Christmas. All they have to do is plug it in and in seconds they will be ripping heads off zombies and saving princesses.
