Ni no Kuni II has been delayed to January 19. Commence your crying. Bandai Namco announced the heartbreaking news this morning via Twitter and a special video message from Akhiro Hino.
In the video statement, Hino, who is also CEO of developer Level-5, said, “We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni 2 experience to our fans. I deeply apologize to whose who have been looking forward to the game’s release.”
There is already a ton of games coming out this Fall, so an early January release is fine by me. Ni no Kuni II was one of my most anticipated games of 2017, but a delay like this just means that Level-5 has more time to fine tune the finished product and that’s A-ok with me!
This also gives me time to actually play the first one. Should I pick it up on PS3 or Nintendo DS?
Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is coming to PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go shed a tear.
