Taco Bell doesn’t take itself too serious and I dig that. It’s a company that has no problem releasing weird and unique items, and much to the disappointment of my mother and my skinny jeans I have to try them out.
The company that brought us the beloved Waffle Taco has now brought the Quesalupa to Canada. What a time! The crowd-pleasing item launched in the U.S. earlier this year and has been smuggled over the border by brave mounties, a pack of moose, and one beaver*.
What the hell is a Quesalupa you may ask? It’s a combination of the Chalupa and the Quesadilla. Still confused? It’s a F’ing delicious item with a new, cheesy stuffed shell. Yeah, I could eat about 8 of these. My next Tinder date will be so impressed.
Canadians couldn’t wait to have a bite – when asked what they would trade to be one of the first to try the Quesalupa, offers rolled in and included responses like “my girlfriend” and “my next vacation day.” Fans also got involved by being a part of cheesy dating videos to celebrate the Quesalupa launch.
I kinda feel sorry for the guy who would trade his girlfriend but I get it. No Man’s Sky is coming out in a matter of week and she would probably leave his lazy ass anyways.
I wanted to show my love for Taco Bell by getting a tattoo. Seriously, it’s in the video below.
No it’s not. I’m sorry, but if you’ve ever wanted to watch me eat Tacos then today is your day.
Enjoy, you weirdo.
The Quesalupa will be in Taco Bell Canada stores nationwide for a limited time at a retail price of $4.99. Cheese lovers can visit www.TacoBell.ca, and tag #Quesalupa on any of Taco Bell’s Canadian social channels – @TacoBellCanada on Twitter, Taco Bell Canada on Facebook, TACOBELLCANADA on Snapchat or on Instagram @tacobellcanada.
*I can’t prove this ever happened but Pixar if you want the rights to my fan fiction screenplay, holler.
