The Mini SNES has been announced and I can’t even imagine how hard it’s going be to find one this holiday season.
Nintendo today announced the Super Nintendo Classic, which will be out on September 29th for $80 USD ($99.99 CDN)and include 21 games including the previously unreleased Star Fox 2.
The incredible lineup includes titles such as Earthbound (!!!), Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World (One of my fav games of all time), Final Fantasy III, Link To The Past, Secret of Mana and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Honestly, people are going be fighting in the streets for these.
Here’s a look at the 21 confirmed games:
- Contra III: The Alien Wars™
- Donkey Kong Country™
- Final Fantasy III
- Kirby™ Super Star
- Kirby’s Dream Course™
- The Legend of Zelda™: A Link to the Past™
- Mega Man® X
- Secret of Mana
- Star Fox™
- Star Fox™ 2
- Street Fighter® II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
- Super Castlevania IV™
- Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts®
- Super Mario Kart™
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars™
- Super Mario World™
- Super Metroid™
- Super Punch-Out!! ™
- Yoshi’s Island™
In order to play Star Fox 2, the never-before-released game, players will first have to beat the first level of Star Fox oddly enough.
Even for super fans who have played all of these games multiple times, the inclusion of the never-before-released Star Fox 2 game will offer them something entirely new to enjoy – if they can unlock it by proving their skills in the original Star Fox game. (Well, they only have to complete the first level – we didn’t want to make it too hard!)
The system will come with an HDMI cable, a charging cable, and two SNES controllers.
I can’t fricken wait.
