Who would have guessed that not 1 but 2 Metroid games would be announced at E3 this year. I’ve never had any sentimental value to Metroid but watching both Ryan and Drew from Game Moose collectively freak out and shed tears over the surprise announcement made me think about franchises I’d love to see show up on the Switch.
Nintendo has some incredible properties that I hope they bring back from the dead. Sure the new Kirby & Yoshi games both look amazing but I wanna see some forgotten characters and franchises resurrected. Nintendo enough with the Fire Emblem games give me the following:
Super Mario RPG
Bring back Mallow, Geno and Exor and give us a proper sequel to one of the best games ever made.
Maybe one day this game will be brought to the West. Until then I’ll just keep dreaming. Lucas is in Super Smash Bros, now why can’t we play him outside of that?
This seems like a no-brainer, especially on mobile. Plus I was shit at this game as a kid and need redemption!
Animal Crossing on the Switch
Seriously, how is this not a thing yet? Maybe it’s better it’s not available. I’d never stop playing.
Loved this game, hated the controls. Would love to suck up some more ghosts in a big spooky house. Also, Luigi is my go to character in anything that lets me play as him. He’s devilishly handsome and kind of a dick, just like me.
Honestly, there are so many options. F-Zero would please some folks. Maybe a new Ice Climbers? It still boggles my mind that we got Arms instead of Punch Out. What about something out there like Mario Paint?! A good Star Fox (I try my best to forget the WiiU version). Wave Racer? Pilot Wings? How are kids learning to type without Mario Teaches Typing? Nintendo sure surprised us at this year’s E3 so who knows what else they have up their sleeve for next year. I’m already excited, I love how much attention the Switch is getting.
Happy gaming friends.
