LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Trailer Is A Good Reminder We Need Cosmo In The MCU

A brand new story trailer has arrived for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, and it shows what a good boy Cosmo the Spacedog is.

The trailer opens up a bit of the games story, which sees the mightiest heroes across the galaxy come together to take on the time-traveling Kang The Conqueror. The footage sees Cosmo – the telepathic Soviet canine cosmonaut – alerting a huge roster of super heroes about the villain. GOOD BOY COSMO! Kang being the baddie that he is, steals a whole host of cities and locations across time and space, forming the Open Hub World of Chronopolis in an attempt to take over the universe. To stop his plan from coming into fruition, heroes such as Spider-Man, Star-Lord, She-Hulk, Thor, Rocket Raccoon, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel must assemble and avenge!

Check out the trailer below:

Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 is co-written by comic book veteran Kurt Busiek, the mind behind the 2001 “Kang Dynasty” arc of Avengers, in which the eponymous villain successfully takes over the world.

Kang is also voice by Peter Serafinowicz, aka the new Tick. If you aren’t watching the Amazon Prime series you really should be.

In a press release from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment they say that the game’s branching narrative will be set in “Ancient Egypt, The Old West, Sakaar, New York City in 2099 and many other Marvel settings.” Fun fact: Sakaar is the planet on which the Hulk was once captured and pressed into a gladiatorial arena, a story which served as inspiration for Thor: Ragnarok.

I have my fingers crossed the combat from LEGO Ninjago is on display here.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be available starting November 14, 2017 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. The game will be released for Nintendo Switch this holiday.
