Jessica Jones Returns And Things Don’t Look Good In The First Trailer For Season 2

The first trailer for Jessica Jones season 2 is here and it’s a lot to digest.

Where the first season mainly just focused on the superpowered private investigator fighting with her abuser Killgrave (David Tennant) the second season looks like it’s going have a lot of moving pieces. This is a surprisingly long trailer for a Netflix show and I’m unbelievably hyped. The only thing I didn’t like the was the clunky song choice.

This trailer leans heavy into Jessica exploring the events that saw her family taken from her, but that’s not going be her only problem. She’s dealing with the fallout of “saving in the world” in The Defenders, some kind of shady figure trying to take over Alias Investigations (Who it looks like she sleeps with), a violent murder spree across New York, and letting her friends in to help.

From the looks of it, it looks like Jessica was brought back from the dead after the car crash. This could mean that Killgrave is not just a voice in her head but actually back alive. That purple lighting and finger tapping near the end of the trailer sure seem to allude as much.

It’s also nice to hear Captain America named dropped here. Other than a guy selling magazines in Luke Cage who mutters the name Iron Man there’s a serious disconnect between the Movies and the Netflix shows.

Jessica Jones returns to Netflix on March 8.
