David Letterman Returns This Week On Netflix

David Letterman returns to your TV screens this week in an all-new Netflix show.

The Netflix show is titled, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman and will launch this Friday, January 12th. A new episode will debut every month thereafter for a total of six. A strange broadcast schedule but we do live in strange times.

Each episode will be an hour-long conversation between Letterman and “one extraordinary figure whom Dave finds fascinating,” but with and without an audience, all supplemented by field segments where Letterman goes out into the real world to explore topics of conversation related to their talk.

The first episode will feature former President Barack Obama, who will be making his first talk-show appearance since leaving office. Following Obama will be George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, JAY-Z, Tina Fey, and Howard Stern. None of these people need any introduction.

At 70 years old David Letterman is an inspiration. I’ve longed for my own late night talk show (readers, help me out!) and will be following along with each episode. If anyone has a link on old Johnny Carson episodes let me know. I’d love to have a rotating playlist on at home.
