Nintendo said at The Game Awards last night that Platinum Games is developing Bayonetta 3 exclusively for the Switch.
Alongside a brief trailer (below) Platinum Games also announced that Bayonetta 1 and 2 are coming to Switch in February.
Bayonetta made waves when it debuted back in 2009 on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in 2009. Nintendo, in a surprising move, picking up the series exclusively for the sequel. This took publishing duties away from Sega and allowed it to be made for the Wii U.
I’m all for a new Bayonetta and I’m glad Nintendo isn’t afraid of having M-rated hardcore action games on the Switch. No release date has been set but I don’t think we will be seeing this new game for a while.
